Our Story

Arden Woods was formed in 1989 by three seasoned therapists who wanted to work at a different type of clinic than any they could find, and so they decided to open their own. What they wanted to create was a place that attracted top-quality therapists, and offered a culture of collaboration, support, and camaraderie that would make them want to stay long-term, build successful careers, and make it fun to go to work. The clinic grew primarily through strong ties with Rosemead School of Psychology in California, and the University of Northwestern and Bethel University locally.

Now more than 30 years later, the field has gone through many changes, and our leadership has changed hands, but those values are still a fundamental framework of our clinic. Despite our growth and expansion over this time, we still seek to have therapists that we are proud to work with and who make it fun to come to work. We maintain high standards of client care, therapist qualifications, training programs, and snacks. We think we have the best clients as well.
